Fiat 8V history
Designers Dante Giacosa and Luigi Rapi developed the Fiat 8V, also known as "Otto Vu", and was produced by Fiat from 1952 till 1954. The Otto Vu is a sports car carrying a V8 engine, where only 114 copies were made of. Though it was not a commercial success, the car did extremely well in racing. At the time of constructing, the 8V got his name because there was a copyright placed on the name 'V8' by Ford. Different factories were creating different bodyworks for the car, which caused a diversity in looks. Mostly coupés were made, but there are some spiders as well.
